We have some exciting events planned for the rest of 2026, but we need your help! We would love to hear from YOU as we decide the Section's direction for the future. We will be holding an open meeting on Wednesday, October 14th, at 6 pm, on Zoom. During this meeting, you will hear from me and some other members of the Executive Board on our vision for the San Gorgonio Section. You will also have the opportunity to share your ideas or offer input on future events, if you would like. We will be hosting a Chemistry Faculty Mixer on Sunday, October 11th, at 6:30 pm at Hangar 24 in Riverside. If you are a college or university professor in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or any other chemistry-related discipline, join us for this fun event! Register here for only $5, which includes pizza and one beer/drink. Please pass this invite on to any adjunct chemistry faculty in the San Gorgonio Section as well.

National Chemistry Week (Oct. 18-24) is just around the corner! How do you plan to celebrate? The San Goronio Section loves to celebrate through various local STEM outreach events. We need YOUR help! Please email me at drjnalbandian@gmail.com if you are available to help us with hands-on activities for kids on either (or both) Thursday, October 8th, from 9 am to 3 pm in Riverside (Near UCR), or Saturday, October 17th, from 10 am to 2 pm at Mt. SAC in Walnut. We will work in shifts, so let me know what times you are available, if not the entirety of the event(s).
