Our Section has approved travel grants (max $750) available for undergraduates presenting at a regional or national ACS meeting. To apply, send your abstract along with the corresponding acceptance letter to Dr. Ana Bahamonde (ana.bahamonde@ucr.edu) to apply.

Our Section is offering grant funding to institutions and organizations in the Section for events and activities that communicate the value and joy of science! The event must take place within the San Gorgonio Local Section and be open to a large audience of students and or the public. Apply for funding here: https://forms.gle/JBeFZ7xELuoj3VA39.

Graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate students pursuing a degree in chemistry or chemistry-related fields are invited to apply for the ACS Catalyst Scholarship! Find more information here: https://www.acs.org/funding/scholarships-fellowships/catalyst-scholarship.html.

The San Gorgonio Section has created a mini-grant of up to $500 for Community College and University undergraduate student groups to help fund student-centered events. The events can occur at any time during the Fall and Spring, but this might be a good way for you to celebrate National Chemistry Week (NCW)! If you or someone you know would like to apply for these funds to support chemistry and STEM engagement at our local community colleges and universities, please refer to the attached documents. The priority application deadline for NCW events is 9/21. You can email sara.rahimnejad@gmail.com with any questions.  

We have received requests for a way to donate to the Section, so we have established the San Gorgonio Section's Scholarship Fund. This website will allow you to make one-time or monthly contributions to our scholarship fund for high school students who earn high scores on the ACS Chemistry Olympiad Exam. You can customize your desired donation amount, and you will receive a tax receipt for your donation. Thank you in advance for your donation to help the next generation of chemists with the cost of their higher education. If you would like to donate to the Section for a different purpose (such as covering the cost of students attending our events, providing grants for undergrad students to travel to ACS meetings to present their research, or providing grants for community outreach events), email me, and we can set that up.
